Iron in the Soul | Norfolk & Norwich Festival

8 May – 20 July 2019

Iron in the Soul at Norfolk & Norwich Festival

Sir Anthony Caro, one of the most important British sculptors of his generation, is known for his formal compositions using heavy industrial materials. Iron in the Soul presents a selection of Caro’s sculpture and drawings, some shown here for the first time, with hand drawn annotations by Sir Henry Moore.

Norfolk & Norwich Festival collaborates year-round with extraordinary artists – some from the region, some from the other side of the world – and with communities across Norfolk and Norwich to create unmissable experiences that have the potential to change lives. For 17 days each May, the Festival transforms Norwich’s public spaces of city streets, performance venues, parks, forests and beaches further afield, bringing people together to experience the same brilliant and inspirational events. Since April 2012, it has been an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and is one of 10 Bridge Organisations with a mandate to develop arts and cultural opportunities for children and young people in the East of England.
