Paul Vousden

Paul Vousden lives and works in the city of Norwich.  His artworks are usually produced in a combination of acrylic and oil paint.  They reflect upon how contemporary landscapes can be created using ideas gleaned from eighteenth century aesthetic philosophy.  His work implies that Britain is an island informed by conservative echoes of a past, contemptuous of nature, fearful of foreign influence, ravaged by disease, and wedded to the violence of severe social stratification.

Paul Vousden has exhibited across Britain and Europe and is currently studying for a PhD at the Norwich University of the Arts.
